Master Code Programming

First time users should change the default code as soon as possible to prevent unauthorized access to your safe, the code should be kept confidential.

TIP: Code Requirements

  • Touch the screen until the panel lights to wake up system before entering your passcode.
  • Programming a new code will overwrite your previous code.
  • Your code can be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 digits.
  • Two keys cannot be pressed simultaneously.
  • Pressing the "*" once will clear all the codes entered.
  1. Enter default code 1-2-3-4 and press "#" to open your safe.
  2.  With the safe open, remove the rubble cover and press the PROGRAM Button once (1-2 seconds), the keypad will light up BLUE once with 1 beep.
  3. Enter your NEW master code (3-8 digits) and press “#” to confirm. The keypad lights up BLUE 2 times and fingerprint sensor lights up GREEN, with 2 beeps. This tone confirms that the password has been reset.
  4. Now test the code. If you made a mistake, the keypad will flash RED 5 with 5 beeps, and the new code does not work, simply start over from step 2.

Fingerprint Registering

  1. With the safe open, remove the rubble cover and press the PROGRAM Button once (1-2 seconds), the keypad and fingerprint sensor will light up BLUE once with one beep.
  2. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor for the first of six scans. Make sure your finger covers the sensor completely. Remove your finger after the keypad lights up BLUE once with 1 beep. You will repeat this process until the keypad lights up BLUE 2 times and fingerprint sensor lights up GREEN, with 2 beeps.
  3. Now your fingerprint has been successfully registered.
  4. Test your fingerprint. If your registered fingerprint unsuccessful, the new fingerprint will not work. You must repeat the above steps to re-register your fingerprints.

NOTE :

  • Make small adjustments to the position of your finger each time to ensure that the every angle of fingerprint can be scanned. While fingerprint sensor is scanning, you shouldn't move your finger around.
  • You cannot register more than 20 fingerprints. If the keypad lights up RED 10 times with 10 beeps when you register your fingerprints, it means the fingerprint storage capacity is full.

Helpful Programming Tips:

  1. Place your finger on the center of the sensor (this allows the sensor to read where most of the fingerprint detail is located).
  2. Adjust your finger slightly between scans for increased accuracy.
  3.  Excessive moisture, lotion, or dirt will affect your fingerprint and may cause inaccurate sensor reading.
  4. If you are experiencing difficulty, try different fingers. Each finger is unique, and some fingers such as your thumb, contain more readable information than others.
  5. To increase your success rate, please register the same fingerprint multiple times.

Registered Fingerprints Deleting

  • For your security, if the wrong code or unregistered fingerprint is entered 5 consecutive times the safe will sound an alarm for 1 minute and go into a lock-down mode for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the safe will automatically resume normal operation.
  • During this time the keypad will keep flashing RED, the keypad and fingerprint sensor will be temporarily disabled. The safe can still be opened using the backup keys override.

Low Battery Warning

  • If the BATTERY indicator illuminates, and the keypad lights up BLUE once (1-3 seconds), followed closely by 10 BLUE flashes with 10 beeps when the safe is electronically opened, your battery level is critically low and your safe needs to be replaced the new battery.
  • A built-in USB Type-C port on the right side of the safe can be used when the batteries are depleted without the keys. This port is for emergency use only, not for long-term use.
  • You can simply plug a USB Type-C cable (not included) into the port to electronically unlock the safe as normal. It cannot be used for charging.

IMPORTANT

  • Do not place or store the backup keys inside the safe at any time.
  • Use 4 NEW AA Alkaline batteries. New batteries can not be used together with old batteries.
  • Mixing batteries may cause the device to become unusable.
  • The safe locks automatically when the lid is fully closed.

Securing Your Safe

There are some mounting screws included to mount your RPNB® safe to a flat surface using the pre-drilled holes.

Using the Mounting Screws

TIP: Make sure you have enough clearance for the lid to open properly before mounting the safe.

  1. Position the safe on a flat surface where you want to mount it.
  2. Use a pencil to mark the holes for drilling.
  3. Drill pilot holes.
  4. Position safe in place and install screws through safe into pilot holes. Tighten screws.

IMPORTANT

Mounting the safe vertically so that the door flips upward will result in incomplete opening of the safe due to weight. The door will open if the safe is mounted horizontally so that door opens to side.
